Planning an overseas trip around a sandwich.
12/26/12: I venture to Katz’s Deli. I did almost as much research (thank you for telling me to save my ticket and to tip the sandwich person, Yelp) as I did for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. I also picked Boxing Day deliberately, as I thought would be less crowded. The frozen weather was a coincidence, but I hoped it would help with crowd control. 10:45 am and the place is nearly empty! Though not for long, especially after a family group of 20 came in; I have no idea where they were seated. Pastrami on rye with mustard. Pastrami is so salty and tender. TheBlackLab thinks this should be our new Boxing Day tradition.

Literally ate, felt ill, and passed out from a food coma by 9pm.

(212) 254-2246I went here after going to a comedy club I was starvin and the girls me and my friends were with kept talking about Katz Deli so eventually they convinced us to go. I’m happy we did because their pastrami sandwich was on point. I just wish I could have gotten the cheesteak though but the grill was closed because we got their so late but all in all great place good food a must visit if your in the area.
Fuck where I live, fuck it so hard. I need out.
